Periodicals Department The Periodicals Department houses 400+ current publication titles. It also contains back issues of many titles. Patrons have access to even more titles through an Internet connections to several fulltext magazine databases (Proquest, Searchbank, and Searchbank Espanol) The News papers available on microform are:
The department has the Bergen County reels of the federal census from 1830 - 1920. (Except for 1890 where only special population schedules are available) Patrons have access to typewriters (for $1.00 per hour). Word processors (for $2.00 per hour) are running WordPerfect 6.1 for Windows. Printing costs $.10 per page; no computer disks from outside the library are allowed. Access is on a first come first serve basis with an hour limit when someone is waiting. The Periodicals Department closes one half hour before the rest of the library.
